Youth Event

NEW EVENTS

Our first event is this weekend May 19-20th.  Look for an event flyer here soon describing the event to be held at Chico Basin Ranch.  Thanks to Jonathan Tullar and the Box T Cowboys!  We need interested volunteers to help with 30 youth.  Volunteers will work event stations, cook on the grill, or act as mentors / chaperones including some for overnight camping.  Please contact Joe McCreary or join us at the next monthly meeting if interested.

Round 2 - We had an offer following the banquet for a Wild Bird Excursion to private land in Pheasant country!  Details are being negotiated for a trip to hunt some birds out of state!!!

Recent Event

Our 2011 Youth Activities Day held at Rocky Mountain Rooster, Calhan, CO on Sept 18th, 2011, was a great success and experience.  The event featured Field and Gun Safety, Dog Awareness, Clay Shooting,  Pheasant Hunting and Game Preparation.  Pictures of the 2012 event are being collected and will be displayed below in a few days. 

Remember our Youth Events are funded from the proceeds of our Annual Fundraiser Banquet, please attend look for the 2013 date at the DoubleTree Hotel in Colorado Springs or donate as a sponsor at any time.

T.U.N.E
In 2010 Chapter 247 sent two youths to T.U.N.E. with proceeds from our Annual Banquet, thanks to everyone who attended and purchased items for making this possible. Your purchases at the Feb 12, 2011 Banquet and donations help send kids to this wonderful camp.
