PPPF next meeting: Our next PF chapter meeting is 10 AUG. It will be held at the Stetson Hills Police Department Community Room. The start time is 6:30 PM. It is located just across the street from Security Field (where the SkySox play). If you go a block east of Powers & Barnes intersection, you will go south on Tuff Rd. The station is a block down on the west side of the road. At this meeting, we will have the PF Regional representative (Bob Hix) to give us an update on what is going on with PF at the National level and State of CO level. We will also have our biologist for the area or one of the new Farm Bill biologist with us to talk about what they are trying to accomplish. I have received a few calls from farmers wanting to do some habitat projects on their land. We will work to get them in touch with the proper people. Hope to see you there and bring a friend or let a buddy know that you think might be interested. |

Welcome!
The Pheasants Forever - Pikes Peak Chapter was founded in 1993. The chapter is affiliated with the national Pheasants Forever Organization and the Colorado State Pheasants Forever club. Over the years the chapter has worked to develop upland habitat in complement with wetlands and soil conservation. The intent is to provide a more diverse ecosystem which produces a healthier environment for all of us to enjoy. Recent endeavors include,
- working with our sister chapter (Kit Carson County, CO) on various habitat projects
- contributing over $10k to habitat improvement projects in the last 2 years
- providing Youth Events to "bring along the next generation of hunters and conservationists"
- conducting annual banquets to generate funds used to complete all chapter habitat projects and youth events
